Deleting gaps

I know that if you make a cut on the timeline & delete the clip you have to move the right clip to the left so an to eliminate the gap. What do you do if you have made many cuts on the timeline & have lots of gaps can all pieces be joined together all at once or do you need to do each part one at a time?

If you turn on Ripple Edits under the Options menu, then you can highlight a section of the timeline by double-clicking in an empty gap or simply highlighting a section to be removed, and deleting. Everything to the right will automatically move to the left filling in the deleted gap.
