Deleting space at end of timeline

Webster-Struthers wrote on 11/1/2024, 10:50 AM

Good Morning All,

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove time off of the timeline after an audio track. I have three minutes of blank timeline a the end of my audio tracks.I don't even know how it got there, Selecting that region of the timeline and hitting delete does nothing. I am using Vegas 21. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have any markers or regions at this point?

Webster-Struthers wrote on 11/1/2024, 12:58 PM

Not that I can tell. It just looks like a blank timeline. How could I tell ?

Press CTRL-END - where does the cursor go? There's something at that point. It might be a tiny sliver of an event that's too small to see unless you zoom in.

There is a loop region there. Is that the problem?

jetdv wrote on 11/1/2024, 4:10 PM

Could be. Get rid of the loop region and find out. When you try to render it may be set to render only the loop region.

Yes, Loop region and marker can be an issue.

I got rid of the markers, but it sure won't let me delete that space. Never have had that issue I'm going to mark the song as a region and render it. Thank you, one and all.

@Webster-Struthers as I mentioned, there's probably a "sliver" of an event there. It might even be smaller than one frame so you really have to zoom in. Just hit CTRL-END and zoom in really far on the timeline.

Here's an example timeline. It appears there is nothing after the first event.

Now press CTRL-END

Now zoom way in!

There's the one frame event left hanging way out there!

That has happens to me a few times, and markers beyond the end of the program that I did not see.
