Demo Problem

I just installed Vegas Video 3.0 demo, and regret it. There is now a 1.5 inch "band" that runs vertically down my flat-screen Dell monitor. It's hard to describe the colour--everythig under the band is somewhat distorted and off-colour. It's a problem in the monitor--it appears no matter what computer I have it hooked up to. Turning off the monitor, restarting, ect... none of it fixes the problem. Anyone else ever have this happen? Thanks,
Nick

Hate to say it, but it sounds like a coincidence...

I had a display go bad like that in my first sony laptop, and they replaced it with a newer laptop (since the part was stuck in shipping).

Not Vegas at fault, I'll wager...

Thanks for the instant reply. But how would I convince Dell that after installing Vegas (like almost instantly while running the install--I never even tried the demo) that the programme is not at fault? Any idea WHY this happened? Did it happen to you after installing Vegas?

Don't panic---this has nothing to do with Vegas---call Dell and report a display problem---dont tell them it happened after you installed Vegas because they will use that as an excuse. It was a coincidence---this software is rock solid and I have never heard of it causing your kind of problem

My problem did not happen after installing Vegas.

A quick peek at the Dell support forums tells me this is not totally uncommon, and probably unrelated to Vegas.

Thanks a bunch. We'll see what my friend at Dell will do for me. But-- whoo!! Looking forward to purchasing Vegas Video...
