Desperate DSR-DU1

I have now the full copy of Vegas 4.0e. If I remove the "dvsplug.dll" and try to import the .dlx files then the program stops responding. If anyone has a sytem that is working then perhaps you could tell me what I am doing wrong. I have been filming in PAL. Before I removed the above dll I could import the picture only from the DVD file no problem. If I went to "all Files" then the .dlx files appeared and if I click on them the system hangs. If I open preferences, what PAL DV setting should I sellect? Perhaps the DSR-DU1 is set wrong? PLEASE HELP!

Please send complete system details to dr.dropout@sonypictures.com and we'll take care of this first thing Monday. I have already talked to an engineer about this, but we do need your system info so we can try to repro this issue here. Once we have your system specs I am sure we can sort this out quickly. Rest assured this device does work with Vegas- NASA uses it among others.

In addition, please include a sample .dlx file and its corresponding Attribute.atr file in your email to drdropout. For example, if you attach 0001.dlx look in the folder named "0001" for Attribute.atr. These DSR-DU1 support files are very small. Thanks!
