Use good media - Verbatim or T/Y
Back off one notch on your burn speed
Don't run other apps while burning

Thanks.

Have tried to different sorts of media. These have worked successfully in the past. I reduced the copy speed from 16* to 8*. Didn't have and Verbatum unfortunatley

The computer itself is an I7 3500ghz with 16 gig of ram and a SSD for the operating system.

Any more ideas?

Try a different burner? Sorry, fresh out of ideas.

Well - some progress made. I have "prepared the file for burning" in a directory. Then made a DVD from that without problem. So, strange that something has changed on my computer requiring this to now be done. Anyone any ideas?

musicvid - you gave me the clue when you said you another burner...

I saw one report very recently of a Windows update hosing someone's burner dll's. Can't remember where though.
Seems like kind of a longshot.

musicvid. Have a good work around and learned something new. I have prepared the file to a "prepare folder". Then made the DVD from there via the standard Architect software.

This process seems to be faster than making the whole DVD in one process.

Again, many thanks for helping

Actually, I always do that to check my actual prepare size and preview the product before burning.
Glad you found the method on your own!
