Display of time in original clip on workspace V 17

When adjusting a clip, I want to see the position relative to the start (and end ?) of the original clip, so I know where the "in" and "out" is relative to the start of the clip. I saw one solution to drop a marker and then examine that, but is there any way just to have it displayed somewhere on the workspace ? Thanks

Consider adding a Timecode fX to the clip(s) in the Project Media.

The easiest way is to use the toolbar OtterInfoBar in HappyOtterScripts. It shows both Head Time and Tail Time which I believe is what you want plus a bunch other information for timeline events. The toolbar can be customized so that it displays only the information you want.

Here are a couple of screengrabs along with the tooltip describing the information displayed.

HOS is still in beta and can be downloaded here. https://tools4vegas.com/ The beta continues through Jan 15, but you can still use the toolbar even if you don't purchase a license.
