I upgraded from an Intel 500 Celeron to an Intel 750 P-III CPU. Nothing else changed. I'm getting some nasty scratchy sound coming through since the upgrade. Whereas the Celeron gave me good sound, it couldn't handle the throughput. The 750mhz CPU gives me good throughput but crummy sound!

Mixing the tracks down to a stereo track and playing it through Sound Forge or Windows Media Player is the only way I can listen to a clean mix.
