Distributed Render Failure, EULA violation.

I just purchased Vegas 5.0 (version 5.0a) and I'm trying to distribute a render between the three machines on my network at home (kinda the whole reason I upgraded from 4.0 to 5.0). I absolutely cannot get past this error:

Error: render job 'MY.MACHINE.HOSTNAME.ONE:53704/3' failed: EULA was violated by tcp://MY.MACHINE.HOSTNAME.TWO:53704/NetRenderService.rem

I've entered my serial number on each machine and I still get this error. I've tried initiating the render from Vegas on all three machines and in all cases, the host complains that one of the other machines is violating the EULA.

Thanks!

The rendering machines should only have the network rendering components installed. Did you do a full install of Vegas on all machines? If yes, that is likely the problem.

Did you install the full vegas on all 3 machines, or do you have it set up on 1 main machine and the other ones as render clients only. That's the only way I can see that you would be violating the EULA, is if you have the full verson of Vegas running on 3 machines at the same time.

dang..beat by 42 seconds :)

Ahhhh....I'll try that. However, I do need one copy of Vegas on my main editing machine and one on my laptop as I do quite a bit of work out on set. I guess I'll need yet another license if that's the case, huh?

For 5.0a, you'll need to install the render-only version on the second machine which means you can't edit on that machine.

In 5.0b (which we'll release soon) there's no more "render-only" version so you can edit on both machines but not at the same time (see the EULA for more details).

That will be nice...I just bought a new laptop to have for a "on the road" editor, now I can use both of them for rendering at home as well :)
