Select the Event and hit U for ungroup - try that for starters . . .

What Grazie said or another tool I use sometimes is to temporarily activate "ignore event grouping" to quickly separate audio from video.

Hello, when I hit the ungroup button and delete the audio the video frequently goes too, waht am i doing wrong?

The only way I can that is to have the Video STILL selected. Maybe that is what you did too?
