I followed SF's advice
http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=112473
and inquired in the Divx Forums in regard to its incompatibility with Vegas 3.0. Under the notion that the problem may very well rest with Divx 5.02 and not Vegas.
I was surprised by their initial reaction. At least one Divx moderator was not aware of such a problem. I'm not saying that Vegas has not opened diaglogs with Divx regarding this issue as they have claimed. As a matter of fact, I believe that they have. But before I follow through with any further requests of Divx.com, I would like to think that I am not stepping on anyone elses toes or duplicating anyone elses work.
Is there someone in particular that Sonic Foundry has been in discussions with at Divx.com. You can reply to my Email at jeffy82@aol.com if you want to keep that info private. My intention, being registered owner of Divx 5.02pro, is to put some pressure on them, if it is their problem with the codec, to hopefully have them repriorize the issue if it has been dropped, or at least check on the status update, if it is in the works.
I hope you understand.
