DIVX I need help please read

I get an error message every time I try to encode to Divx. It says that "no compatible codec was found" What does this mean since when I go to the render property tabs the Divx codec is right there. HELPPPPPPPPPPPP

Have you purchased the DIVX pro package to get the codec and registered it?

I would first try reinstalling the codec.
