dll registration during installation

During a recent reinstallation I got a number of messages about failing to register dll files like sftrans1.dll. Later draging dll files to the application resulted in the same message.
VF worked but no transitions were available. I tried another uninstall-reinstall and I got message "too many activations issued".
Couldn't find much about dll registration in the knowledgebase/forums.

I sent an e-mail to the support about 4 days ago, but no answers so far.

Could anyone help?

I've had a couple of problems with dlls not registering, but I've always been able to get them to self register afterwards. Can you get any other apps to re-register their dlls or is it just MC that's giving problems? If you're comfortable with editing the registry I'd be inclined to uninstall MC and then make sure there are no references left before reinstalling. Failing that, maybe a registry cleaner would help?

Thank you for your reply. It is related only to Video Factory shared plug-ins (not sure what MC would stand for).
I have just tried to drag dll-s again into the application to get the exact message and now it works OK?!. It is one of those natural laws like gravity. When you want to demonstrate a problem on computer you will be unsuccessful.
Thanks again.

>(not sure what MC would stand for).

It means I'm going slightly mad! Should have been MS, for Movie Studio.
