Do velocity envelopes only affect events?

Or, can you apply a velocity envelope to an entire track? The reason I ask is that I am working on a project with a lot of stills, and I want to be able to add a velocity envelope to a series of stills, but as far as I can tell, you can only add the envelope to each event, making changing the velocity of the entire stream of stills a real chore. Is there another way to do what I am attemping?

No, there is no global or track based velocity. On stills, you'd set up shorter stills rather than apply velocity to them anyway.

First question: Why would you change the velocity of a still? It will STILL be a STLL.

If you are wanting to change a group of stills to match the music, there IS an easy way to do that. Select all of the stills and then group them by pressing "G". Now go to the end, hold down the CTRL key, and resize the group until it is the length you desire.

Well, the stills are mixed in with short video clips, but your point is taken ;-)

Awesome tip, just what I needed. Thanks!
