Do you use Voukoder? Do you see it in Render to New Track?

Grazie wrote on 2/12/2023, 2:06 AM

I see and can use it in “Render As”, but it’s AWOL in “Render to New Track”. Should I expect this?

Please confirm or deny. Thank you.

I can confirm, but have no problem with that. For render to new track I use only codecs with less compression and high bitrates to preserve quality because these new track renders are also used for the final rendering.

@3POINT - Thank you, and now I don’t have a problem either, I just wished to be reassured Voukoder doesn’t appear in Render to New Track.

Voukoder doesn't appear in 'Render to New Track' here either - it's fine in 'Render As''.

@Grazie It also doesn't appear in the pre-render (Shift+M) options.

Also when you use the render to new track option, make sure you use a video only codec (or disable audio in the codec). Because unlike to video, audio tracks are added and not overlaying like video tracks.

Thanks Guys. Voukoder=Speed but not for the interim renders got it.

3POINT wrote on 2/12/2023, 4:32 AM

The advantage of rendering to new track (instead of selective pre-rendering) is that, besides the smooth preview of a complex part of the timeline, is that the rendering to new track can also been used for the final render.

@3POINT - Quite right.
