Does adjustment event not work with 3D Source Alpha Composite Mode?

I have 16 3d-source-alpha tracks each with 3 tracks within them, also set to 3d-source-alpha.

For each track, I'm trying to apply an effect that impacts its 3 sub-tracks. To make this easy, I put an adjustment event on the parent for each of the 16 groups -- (I also tried this creating a single 4th track at the top of a group and moving the adjustment event there).

When the tracks are set to 3D-Source-Alpha -- the Adjustment Event seems to do nothing. Changing it to regular Alpha transparency it works fine, but I obviously lose the 3D track processing.

Am I correct that adjustment events do not work if placed on a 3D Composited track?
