Does any body know how to make the fonts and menus bigger on Vegas 14

I just recently updated to a copy of Sony Vegas from Vegas 10 to Vegas 14 but I am having difficulty reading all the menus and controls. Is there a fix for this? My fonts and menus used to be nice and big on Vegas 10 and now I need to get new glasses just to use it. Makes no sence!!

The only way I know to make menus and controls larger is to change the screen resolution for your monitor in Windows.

That would mess up all the other programs I have making them too big... That sucks!

This might help -- not sure .. didn't do much for me .. This comes from Microsoft website.

Disable DPI virtualization for the application. To do this, right-click the application’s shortcut and then click Properties. On the Compatibility tab, select Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings, and then click OK. This causes the text in the application to appear clearer. However, if the application does not correctly handle high DPI settings, this procedure may have adverse side effects such as truncated text and incorrectly sized graphical elements.

In Windows 7, go to the Display control panel. It says "Make it easier to read what's on your screen. You can change the size of text and other items on your screen by choosing one of these options". Set the display scaling to something higher than 100%. That will enlarge all of the text in the Vegas interface. If you set scaling to 150% or higher, it will also enlarge the buttons and icons. I believe Windows 8 and 10 have a similar setting. See also https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vp14-high-dpi-issues-blurry-buttons--103688/

Thank you Balazer... I had already done that at the beggining when I set up windows 7 for this computer. But the setting tht work for all other programs do not work for Sony Vegas. It's reallt frustrating!

Do you mean that the text of the Vegas interface does not change size when you change the display scaling percentage in the Display control panel? It's working for me. You need to log off and log back on before the setting takes effect. Try a few different settings and see if it's doing anything at all to Vegas. Also make sure that "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" is not checked for the Vegas executable or its shortcut.

When I go into my control panel and change the the scaling percentage for my display it changes. I can make it just perfect for Vegas but then all my other programs, software and windows itself look huge! The issue is that Vengas 10 looks fine the way I have everything. It started with vegas 11. and 12. Installed them but was never able to use them. my only other option is to keep changing the display size every time I use Vegas but then I need to serach the web or something and it looks giant! Here is an image of how different size is between 10 and 14 for me...

You can change the font and icon size through control panel… display.

I know that Dlion... I think you missed the point. If I change it to fit Vegas it makes all of my other programs inclusing web browsing way to big.

May be a problem with my Dell who knows!
