Woah, I'm here man. Actually I'm all over the place if the truth be told :-(

I just had the machine delivered and am gradually sorting out installation/tweaking issues before I check that the system works properly. So far I've got Acid, Sound Forge, Vegas, Sonar and Logic 4.8.1 in. Unfortunately I also have a MOTU Micro Express Parallel Midi interface, which currently kills Logic and Sonar, so I haven't had a chance to progress any projects.

If you want me to test something let me know - it won't be immediately, though.

System is XP Home, P4 2.0GHz, 512 DDR RAM, Radeon 7000/VE Dual Head. Seagate
Barracuda 80Gb x 2 and RME 9652 hooked up to a KORG 168RC mixer.

Regards

cool!

Ok Mine is a p4 2.4 on an ASUS p4t-e mobo
tried a few different video cards

my big problem is that in vegas, if you hit stop and play repeatedly from the same place, it will freeze, the cpu will jump to 100 % and the PC will do NOTHING for around 20 to 30 seconds, only in front of clients

I have Soltek MoBo 845e chipset.

I just loaded some wavs into Vegas 2.0 latest build. Hit the space bar repeatedly. Kept the spacebar down for a minute. No problems. I could get the demo of Vegas 3.0 installed and try the same thing if that's your version?

btw I am on UK time here so delays in responses may occur.

Im using vegas 3
theres been a few threads about this one but it boils down to this:
all other apps ( cubendo in MME, samplitude, sonar) run fine on this pc

BUT

a soundblaster clone and a soundscape mixtreme work fine on this machine in vegas

so who to blame ?

BTW a may be running an " older P4" how do I tell ? which one are you running ?
