Does anyone use the TVone DV-1394-A50?

This would be as a firewire-to-TV device, and vice-versa for editing with vegas. In particular:

are there any problems with it?
does it have a stand-by mode?
does it have any heat issues (get too hot)?
can it generate color bars?
does it do component out as well as in?
any video capturing issues (bad A/V synch, artifacting, light balance)?

1. No problems with it. Works great with Vegas.
2. Stand-by mode? Not sure what that is...
3. No heat problems. It runs cool.
4. No color bars or tone.
5. Just SVideo and Composite (via RCA connectors)
6. Video looks great during capturing, but I think the chroma might be a little low on output. I have a friend of mine that lets me borrow his portable BetaSP deck to record broadcast dubs via firewire / tvOne1394, and the station(s) accept the dubs without complaints, so it must be okay.

Just as a side note. I have been using a DSR11 DVcam deck for the last year or so and I can use it for "E-to-E" A/V transcoding, so I don't use the DV2001 anymore.

As a quick follow-up. I see where you are asking about a DV-1394-A50 unit. I think that is a replacement for the older model I have called a DV-2001. I checked the specs out for both units and they appear to be the same except for the control / connector layout.
