Ignite 5 works in Vegas Pro 20 here, but the best way to find out is to install the free Trial version of Vegas Pro 20 so that you can test it yourself before purchasing.
Yes it does..... Which version of Ignite is it by the way?
Look like I can use the 2nd most recent update. But yeah thats a good idea I should just download the trial. I have really come to rely on ignite's effects. Sure I could use hitfilm but thats really not convenient to use for everything. I believe they are going to release a new ignite like product in the future, but until that happens I want this one to work as long as possible.
@Dimitrios Sorry, don't hold your breath, FX Home i doubt is gonna release any form of ignite in the future. Since they were purchased by Artlist, dropping ignite and other stuff was the first thing that they did. So any great future expectations from them is kinda gone thru the window.
I am currently using the final version of ignite and it really is versatile. Hence i have no need for the round-tripping process of using Hifilm Pro..... So don't worry, as an OFX plugin, ignite will work and be current in its uses for a very long time.
As @Steve_Rhoden and others have said, it's been a long time since Ignite was discontinued. And in spite of the "hype" of "newer and better" coming, there hasn't been a hint at all about it happening. Like others, I do have Ignite Pro 5, and it works with other software that use OFX.
But I think that with Ignite 4.0, that had to be updated to 4.1 to work with current versions of Vegas.
I tested Ignite Express in VP22 it was not working. Any Idea?
If Ignite Pro is anything to go by, Ignite Express will not work in Vegas Pro 17 and later.
Coding changes in Vegas Pro 17 meant that Ignite Pro 4.0 (and earlier) would not work in Vegas Pro 17. At the time, HitFilm released version 4.1 to enable Ignite Pro to work in Vegas Pro 17 (and later). Express was released in 2017 two years before Vegas Pro 17 was released so it is not surprising that the Express version does not work in Vegas Pro 22. That is unless there is an updated version of Ignite Express recoded to meet the coding changes in Vegas Pro 17. If there is an updated Express version, it may be on your FxHome account as that apparently is now the only way to access legacy FxHome products given that the Ignite was discontinued several years ago.
