I found out today that Hitfilm Pro last year I think added the ability of using Video Copilot's: Element 3D. And since Vegas Post integrates much of HitFilm Pro, I am wondering if anyone out there has tried to use Element 3D with Vegas Post? I have Adobe After Effects for now, because I wanted to load some After Effects file (which I was able to get a lot of), and may need to keep after Effects. I am able to convert pretty good After Effects files to NewBlue FX Titler Pro 7 which can run from Vegas Pro and Post and After Effects. But I ran into something I need really bad: "3D Virtual Studio" on Envato, which is a 3D Virtual Set for broadcast or Show Programs (like I want to make on YouTube), which is built using "Element 3D". I don't know if I can live without this! Awesome! But even if I keep licensing After Effects next year, I still would prefer to use Element 3D from Vegas Post, because I love the Vegas workflow, and I don't wish to purchase Adobe Premier. I would like to keep most of my production in Vegas Post, or if I must the standalone Hit Film Pro. I have invested a lot of time and money in researching and building up my Vegas Pro Suite and OFX Effects libraries - I don't wish to have to repurchase them for the After Effects too. And I don't wish to buy Adobe Premier and scrap using Vegas Pro/Post just because I need a quality 3D Virtual Studio. That would be dumb. Vegas has a nice fast workflow, and works great with audio and I have gobs and gobs of VST Effects for shaping audio or synthesis.
I need the ability of compositing with Virtual 3D Sets to produce awesome show videos with multiple camera angles and panning and movement using a Green screen or BCC or Mocha.
I also would like a backup solution to do what I need without relying on Adobe After Effects, so that if I decide to not renew it for awhile I can still keep working. I don't want to have to use After Effects to render something, put it into Vegas Pro/Post to finish it up with other clips? Too much trouble if I don't have to.
