doesn't recognize camcorder

I've checked all the help files I can find, and tried all
the suggestions listed, but the capture program won't
recognize my Sony DCR-TRV120 NTSC. I have a compliant card,
and I've tried turning on the camcorder both before and
after I start the program. I've even tried
selecting "Play" from the camcorder....I'm at a loss...HELP

The most common problems are due to 3rd party software
conflicting with the DV drivers and codecs, and this info
will help you diagnose and fix.
