don't be afraid

i have just recently completed my second dvda project...2 full hours long...it was needed to set the bitrate at between 3 & 4,000,000 to fit...i thought i was going to lose some quality, but no! in fact, i gained overall quality compared to rendering at 5-6,000,000...if your project dictates a need for more dvd disk space DON'T BE AFRAID TO RENDER AT A LOWER BITRATE...it worked wonders...

2 hours with AC-3 audio can have a bitrate as high as 4,800,000 and still fit (depending on how complex the menus are).

This piece of "advice" absolutely defies logic.

LOGIC? whatever...
i had a lot of smokey and misty scenes that went bad with the higher render bitrate...it all would still fit, it just was of a poor quality. rendering at a lower bitrate seemed to totally clear up ALL of my imperfections...what does logic have to do with reality...my reality mind you.
