Don't disable VirtMem . .

Hi All,

I've been chasing a few goblins w VA2.0a also, such as
random stopping of recording, and occasional exceptions.
Since I have 256 MB mem, I disabled Virtual Memory some
time ago, per earlier advice(not from SF). This had never
caused a problem with Sound Forge. But I re-enabled 128 MB
max and min VM, so Win98SE wouldn't waste time resizing
it. Most of my problems have disappeared.

Don't know if this may relate to other problems . .

Regards,
Rick Z

Hi -
Just to add to that - I have been told numerous times by SF tech
support that SF's programs are optimized to run under Windows'
default settings. All of those "tips" and "tweaks" you read about are
unnecessary and may even cause problems.

Charles.
