Don't make the same mistake as me with the Vegas Mercalli Suite bundle

I purchased Vegas using the one-time payment option, but then after purchasing, I realized the Mercalli Suite bundled is actually only a 2 year license. It's not obvious from the ad that it's only a 2 year license, particularly because the full price of the Mercalli Suite is referenced and it's not mentioned clearly in the ad that it's only a 2 year license.

Don't make the same mistake as me if you were expecting a full perpetual license. :(

I've emailed shop@magix.net with the cancellation form and will see if they will accept the cancellation.

So you paid $120 to upgrade to a brand new version of VEGAS, and are upset that it only has a 2 year license for a $300 plugin? A perpetual Mercalli license costs more than twice as much as you paid for both... I can understand being upset about the misleading ad, it should be clear about that, you're right there, but you still need to take a good look at the value you are getting vs. what you paid.

Well.. I actually have no interest in purchasing the new Vegas. I am using the previous version and it doesn't crash a lot anymore in my environment, so I don't want to risk upgrading :)

I've had my eye on the Mercalli Suite, but (for me) it's rather expensive at $299. The ad showed the value of the Mercalli product was $299, which is the price of the normal version, so I assumed it was the normal version and it seemed like an amazing deal to get it for $119. If I also wanted to upgrade to the new Vegas, then I completely agree with you it's still good value, but I was purchasing it only for the bundled Mercalli Suite...

I realize for big companies, $119 (or even $299) is nothing, but for someone who can't afford to keep upgrading every few years, for sure I wouldn't have purchased it if I realized I was getting a time limited plugin.

FWIW, the new version is more stable than any of the older ones... and you can see for yourself for free by downloading the demo.

Mercalli Stabilizer is best, Vegas Stabilizer is very good.

HitFilm Pro's stabilizer works well in many situations.
