Double imageing whe Rendering moving objects

I shot video using the Sony SR-11 and of course in in AVCHD. It looks great when I view it on a HD TV using the HDMI cable from the Camera. but when I render it out, I see Ghosting and double images.
The subject is moving Jet Ski while filming from a moving boat on rough seas.
I have tried many combinations and none seem to look very good.

What is the best format to render in to get the best results. I am looking to burn on Blu Ray and DVD.

Ghosting is usually something you see when you get your framerate wrong on the render.

It's probable that what you're seeing is the effects of interlacing and it is worst when viewing interlaced footage on a progressive display like a computer monitor. This is perfectly normal and will be correct when you render for DVD or Blu-ray.
