As I'm on the OMF subject path here is another vaguely related question.
When I import an OMF the first thing I want to do is sort out the track allocation the video editor has used during video editing so that it makes more sense for audio editing and mixing.
This often requires moving audio between tracks. Is there a simple way of dragging audio fromone track to another and maintaining perfect sync. In ProToools I achieve this by simply holding down the "Windows" key (on a PC) or Control Key (on a Mac) any I can drag vertically between tracks but cannot move up and down the timeline. This keeps the audio in sync, or the same relative time position.
How can I achieve the same effect in Vegas? Is cut/copy and paste the only answer?
