Dragging MPG2 file to timeline, No Audio??

I am having a problem with a hard disk camera file. When I drag it to my timeline the audio doesn't drag up with it. I can play the file in media player with audio. I have had this problem before with DVD files but it seemed to have cleared up. Any suggestions would be helpful.

even stranger, the same file worked a week ago in VP8a and for some reason, not now.

Did a search in the forums and found a work around to what seems to be an issue from the Main Concept side. If you change the extension to .vob evrybody plays well together.
