draging capture file

Vegas capture worked without problems before taking it off to refomat. Now after reinstalling Vegas the clip stays in the capture file only. If I bring up the capture it will allow me to drag from capture to time line. Their is no avi file in the folder of explorer where I save it too. What am I doing wrong??

Are you sure you set up the folder correctly. I've been caught by that one a bunch of times where it simply puts the clip wherever I told it to in a previous capture session because I forgot to set up a new directory and select it.

Look in Options/Preferences/Disk Management

I have but I tried capturing several times and saving in different places but no avi old or new just blank folders. Clips in remain video Capture only.
