Draw Masks with Pen/Tablet

Is there a way to make use of a drawing tablet interface to draw masks? I was in the middle of doing an edit that needed a mask and thought "why use a mouse and do this point by point when I have a perfectly good pen interface here", however when I started to draw with the pen it just started to drag out the anchors of the point instead of making new ones.

Any chance that there is an option that I can just toggle on to be able to draw masks with the pen instead of using a mouse?

Vegas' masking options don't include a freehand drawing option for masks/mattes, I'm afraid. Mocha Pro does offer such a capability which works fine with drawing tablets (at least it does here) , but it isn't free ...
