Drone footage is pixelated on Vegas 10.

I use a Dell computer with windows 10. I have the same problem when I had Windows 7. I have a DJI phantom 3 pro with a 4K camera. I dumb down the camera to 1080. When I play back the video file through windows media player it looks beautiful. I put the same file on my Vegas 10 timeline the video looks pixelated on the timeline. And when I render it out and play it back on WMP it is pixelated. Are there settings in Vegas 10 I have to change?or do I have to convert the file and if so what converter do I use.

Hello Bill,

Could you post more info about the source file? You could look at its properties via Vegas or use 'media info' software to do this (install at own risk).

Then an appropriate template could be chosen.

Which version of Quicktime do you have installed? Vegas uses the quicktime engine to decode these files, which may explain why they look great in Media Player and pixelates in the Vegas window.
