this topic of this post has been in other posts, but i thought i'd directed this to dsr 1500 owners to see if they have an answer.

2 problems with digitizing via fire to vegas on my new fujitsu laptop:

1. audio is being recorded very low! i have increased recording levels in the laptop's audo properties (btw the audio card is a sigma tel)

2. i keep losing device control in vegas video when i'm trying to digitize video from the dsr 1500. are there certain preference i should have set to work with the 1500?
