Make sure you have Vegas 4.0e, which contained an updated reader plug-in for this device. Additionally, please delete all files on you machine called "dvsplug.dll" (this is the old reader, no longer needed). Restart Vegas.
Audio should now be present in all DSRDU1 source files loaded into Vegas.
I have this device on my desk so if you have further issues please post back.
Yes I do have the latest version of Vegas 4.0e. I have also deleted the dll you refer to but now vegas sees nothing unless I tell it to look for "all Files" then when I click on the video file the system hangs.
OK I am using the DEMO 4.0e build 239. I have removed the "dvsplug.dll" and I am attempting to import the .dlx extention files. Now when I import the system hangs and I have to exit Vegas. I am trying the demo as I purchased the DU1 4 months ago and have been unable to use it. If Vegas 4 works I will purchase it immediatelly. Please HELP
Vegas 4.0e can read DSR-DU1 files (.dlx), NTSC or PAL. There might be something funky with your system or maybe the demo, but I personally tested this yesterday with PAL and it works in the full version.
