Dual Layer Burning

I am confused by the message I get when trying to burn a Dual Layer Disc ... I have placed markers at points on the timeline before rendering but when DVDa comes to burn the disc I am given a message to place a break point within specified points on the timeline. My problem is that I do not seem to be able to comply with this without stopping the process, placing the break point and starting the whole rendering process again. This is a lengthy process for large projects, as a D/L disc always is. Am I missing something or is this correct. Thanks.

There is some great information and several suggestions in the program's Help files, under "Preparing and Burning Your Project," including:

1) In many cases, you can set the program to automatically set a break point;

2) If the software can't find a break point (usually if your DVD is one, continuous movie), you can select the option to be prompted to designate a break point during the DVD encoding process;

3) You can select the option to select a non-preferred break point -- the downside to which is that your viewer may see a short pause in your video as the layers switch.

Thanks for your suggestion Steve...my problem is that although the software does prompt me to select a break point it does not allow me to do so without stopping the process and starting all over.

For me the easiest way around this is to just put a chapter point about midway in the Dual layer project while in DVDA before selecting the burn option, It generally will never prompt you after that.....

Yes thank you warriorking, Your suggestion does work some of the time but not on every occasion, often DVDa insists on having a break point at seemingly illogical places. It would be good if the software worked it out before hand.
