Dual-layer DVDs

Though I edit in V4, I author in ReelDVD presently and would like to make dual-layer DVD-video projects. I'm virtually certain a low-end program like DVD Architect can't perform dual-layer either.

One possibility is to upgrade to an application which permits me to create dual-layer disks (yes, I use a DLT). Other than Sonic Solution's Scenarist, which I'm told would cost me about $5000 bucks, are there any other programs I should consider? Any ideas on cost?

Another possibilty is to save my ReelDVD project as a Scenarist-script and then have someone with a Scenarist workstation open my project and set the layer break for me. Is this do-able? Has anybody done it?

Try DVDsp on a Mac. Can do it for cheaper than buying Scenarist.

I've also learned Adobe's new Encore can do dual-layer and the nice thing is the markers set on the timeline within Premier Pro come into Encore as the cha[pter points. Nifty, now maybe I'll look at Premier Pro also. What's especially nice is Encore is only 599 bucks! Looks like an inexpensive solution for us :>)
