Dual monitors and Trimmer bug?

Jackie_Chan_Fan wrote on 5/20/2005, 8:45 AM
If i use the output to second display feature and try to use the trimmer... all hell breaks loose.

If i right click in the trimmmer, it simply makes the second display go nuts but never brings up the right click menu in the trimmer.

Marking in and out points with the mouse in the trimmer causes the secondary display to go crazy as well. It seems that the trimmer work flow doesnt work at all with the new output to secondary display option.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Can not repro this. Everthing seems fine here.

Which version are you seeing this in?

It would only be Vegas 6, based on the secondary monitor parameter.
I can't repro this here, either.

Sometimes dualhead cards and drivers can do some funky stuff. For a long time, Quictime player would only play files if it was sitting on my primary display. This with a matrox g450. Eventually, either the driver or quicktime changed because the problem went away.

Okay, so much for annecdotes. JCF, is Vegas sitting on the primary display or the secondary display? Maybe switch them around to work the other way? (Carefull here, you may inadvertanly hide vegas under it's secondary display output.)

Actually... The bug only happens when i have the "automatic size settings" option.

If i use the "Use current settings" option... all is normal.

Bug only happens with the "automatic size setting"
