Dual Stream Rendering

I would like to render to an audio and video stream. When I go to Make Movie, I find a choice for rendering a DVD compliant video stream. But what happens to the audio? I will be using DVD Lab for creating the DVD's and it splits the streams anyway, so I might as well start with two to begin with. So my question would be, how to I get the audio stream? And is rendering faster if you split the streams or does it stay about the same?

VF will produce separate streams for PAL DVD, but I can't see an option for NTSC. The audio stream requirements are different, so I guess NTSC dual stream isn't available. I'm in PAL land and I still have DVDLab do the demuxing - it uses more disk space, but I can view the finished product before I go on to authoring.
