I've heard that there isn't a whole lot of difference between the 875P chipset and the 865PE. Even though the 875P has PAT (Performance Acceleration Technology), most motherboard manufacturers have implemented their own version of it on their 865PE boards. If you're looking for performance and low-cost, the ASUS P4P800 is supposed to be great. At anandtech.com, if my memory serves me, it beat out most of the 875P motherboards in many of the benchmarks.

PAW is right, the Abit IC7-G is supposed to be a great motherboard. ASUS just cam out with another version of their 875P motherboards, called the P4C800-E. It's supposed to have Intel Gigabit LAN and Intel's ICH5R (both of which were left out of the original Deluxe version). But you'll pay a price for that one.

I'm sure my advice is too late. Sorry if I didn't help any. Good luck with your system!

Thanks Kyle. It's never to late. Info like this can make the difference between a really good system, and a really GREAT system! I'll check this all out before I place my order.

I'm very grateful!
