Brian, here's a trick that may help:

Create some FOLDERS in the Script Menu folder. Then you can create categories of scripts. Just move the scripts for that category into the folder. For example, maybe you'll have a "Render" folder and all scripts that render can be placed there. It could also help you organize them.

If you're in Vegas when you create the folders and move the scripts, yes you will need to rescan. If you're not in Vegas when you do it, the changes will be recognized automatically the next time you go into Vegas.
