They are very probably VST2 and VST 3 audio effects.

To deselect the audio effects that you don't want, go to Options/Preferences/VST Effects (tab) and in the VST effects list uncheck the effects that you don't want.

VST2 and VST3 effects are usually in different folders on the C drive so there is also the option of removing folders from the 'VST Search Folders:' window.

Hi - Found out I installed 64 bit audio plugins for Reaper (Win 10 PC) in two areas: 1) Default = "C:\Program Files\Common Files" and 2) a folder I created "C:\VST64Plugins." Deleted duplicate plugins. Rescanned Reaper. Holding down CTL+ SHIFT, restarted Vegas Pro 21 - deleting stored files - will see if there are duplicate files. Now 90%. Loading fast. 92%. Now 98%!! 99%!! loading plugins 100%!! Wow. Removing duplicate plugins made Vegas Pro 21 load clean very fast!!! Impressed.

Options > Preferences > VST Effects > VST Search Folders - can add / edit plugin paths

Bottom = Scanning for VST Plugins - Decided to uninstall audio plugins for a certain company - clean the registry - then reinstall the plugins fresh. Doing this I believe when scanning Options > Preferences > VST Effects > VST Search Folders - no more duplicate plugins. Loading Vegas Pro 21 is fast without duplicate plugins to slow it down!! Hope this helps someone.
