Duplicated Track Editing

I duplicated a track three times that has Text Media - now when I go to change the text on one of the tracks it gets changed on all three - in this case this is not a "Feature" :-)

How do you prevent this so you can edit the text for each track seperatly?

Ouch... yep... duplicating the track does not offer you the choice of creating new "copies" of the generated media (the text).

Only way I can think to do this is to select all of the generated media text events on track 1... and paste them into new tracks (you should get prompts asking you about creating new or referencing the existing events.

Yup! It is a feature! Been there since V4, so it must be a "feature". Would be neat if some "links" could be "broken" when duplicating a track.

But here is a "Grazie" Sideways approach:

1/- Go ahead and Dupe the tracks.

2/- As you WERE going to Edit the Text anyway, RIGHT drag from Media Generator a NEW Sample Text and ADD AS TAKE - neat eh?

Now this makes it very easy to have everything aligned, as you haven't had to "fit" a text event within the time event space - yeah?
