DV - Analog convertors

I need to purchase a DV to analog converter and I saw that the Canopus "ADVC-100" is on the tested and approved list for Vegas. But, I ran across another unit made by TVone. The "dv-2001 dv-analog converter" is the same list price at $299, but I can buy it at DVDirect for $229. Has anyone used this device? Mainly, I'm concerned about maintaining A/V sync while capturing long clips and the people at TVone say that there's no problem maintaining sync with their box. But, I would also be concerned that Vegas would be able to capture and output using this device.

I can't tell you about the other unit, but the Canopus unit has locked audio (DVCAM type) and works very well for me. Make sure that the other unit is bi-directional like the Canopus so that you can use it to feed your monitor. Not all units can do this and it is a big help.
