Hi all!
A few weeks ago I mentioned that my PC appeared to stop capturing DV from my Sony DCR-HC30a DV Cam.
I explained I was using W2K and had three Firewire ports (two with the Creative Labs Audigy Sound Card and one on the MB.
Someone suggested I buy a dedicated firewire card which I have done and all appears to have installed correctly as I now have three OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controllers listed in Divice Manager.
BUt I still cannot capture from my camera. When I plug the camera into a firewaire port on the new card I get a DV In message appear on the camera display so I assume the card is working OK but I cannot capture using Vegas capture program or VirtualDub. I simply get a message informing me that there is no Video Source.
I have tried disabling the other Firewire cards and using other ports but all with the same result.
Can anyone offer any explaination as to what may be happening and a possible solution.
Thanks in advance.
