For Print-to-tape, Vegas renders anything that has FX, transitions, compositing, etc.
Straight DV (with no FX) won't need to be rendered, which helps speed things up. Render time varies, based on FX used, machine speed, etc.

Thank you,

Do you know if it works with DVStorm files and can you print to tape via the DVStorm?

Also, can you do pic in pic and two camera edits?
I can see that you can add more video tracks but if I place camera 1 at the bottom track and camera two at the top track how do you cut the parts from camera 1 at the bottom?
I can not find a razor cut or a way to split the video.

Sorry for asking to much

Thanks again it is very helpful

Sorry, one more thing if the system crashes when you go back is it pretty much the project still intact just before the crash? or do you have to go back to the last time you saved?
DOes it has a auto save function and can you change the frequency you want Vegas to save?

Thank you!

On the Sundance Media site (I found it from here) they have a tutorial about using differenct avis from hardware cards like the storm and matrox. You can easily edit storm files if the article is right.
To split a file put the curser on the video on the track and press the s key to split it. Then you can choose the video to delete, press the delete key.
go to http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/help/download.html there are lots of tutorials and practice files there for free!

I went to the specified site and I did not see the tutorial with different avis.
Also, I did not see a ripple delte on the vegas program nor a tool that if I want everything selected from the curso forward I only saw a edit tool on which I have to manually drag from the end of the video upto the video I want to create a space.

Any help would be appreciated
