First of all congratulations to Sonic Foundry for making DVD-A & Vegas
I would like somebody from the makers to explain in details how DVD-A encodes 5.1
does the source have to be wave, pcm
why is so hard to include motion menus support in such good program considering the price for it
if the 5.1 is fully supported how the source is transcoded
if not maybe possible way to be done midi music recognition way
I did a DVD encoded 5.1 audio but when I played it on stand alone DVD Player it says dolby digital but it doesn't sound like
if DVD-A can make 5.1 from wave, pcm that means that every cd I can convert in 5.1 using the source code
if that is possible I'll be more than happy
Please explain because i've spend lots of time on Doom9 forums about transcoding
One more thing PLEASE WORK ON THE MOTION MENUS SUPPORT & make this program THE BEST!!!
THANX UP FRONT FOR ANY REPLIES TO THIS POST

DVD-A can't turn a regular CD into 5.1 -- at least, not if you mean ripping the CD's original two stereo channels into DVD-A and having the program automatically make five different channels out of them.

Motion menus are fully supported in DVDA. Try setting the background video/image field to a video file (avi for instance) on the Page tab. Also, any object links can be animated (inside and/or frame) by clicking on the link and using the controls on the Object tab.

And finally, if you right drag video files, you can drop them on a menu and pick Insert Graphics to have stand-alone videos on the menu (not links)
