We need more information, you say it ran fine a few days ago, so why do you need to enter the serial number? Did you reinstall, crash or what?

I did not do anything to the application and nothing happened but it states the serial number has already been registered to another email address and to contact MAGIX support. It then states that it is possible to check the license online. I had not typed the serial number any recent time.

@angelica-calderon Which version of DVDA do you have? Also did you originally purchase it from Sony Creative Software or Magix or elsewhere?

I am not sure how to check the version, but it came with Vegas 16 from 2019 and I got it from Magix. It says version 7.0.1.

@angelica-calderon In your original post on the Magix Community forum https://www.magix.info/us/forum/dvd-architect--1324603/ you mention Vegas 365.

Is DVDA perhaps trying to use a wrong serial number for its periodic activation check. DVDA (now discontinued) is separate to Vegas Pro or Vegas Movie Studio and has a serial number of its own.

Exactly what are you doing when the problem occurs?

I am not sure, it has never happened before, this shows up in all my attempts. I am just opening the application and it leads me saying that the license needs to be checked, I need help ASAP.

@angelica-calderon

  1. Log into your Magix account https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/
  2. Go to My Products
  3. Find your Vegas 16 (You don't say whether you have VP16 or VMS16 Suites) but anyway you should find your DVDA there
  4. There are two DVDA slots for activations. Clear both
  5. Note, or copy for pasting, the DVDA serial number
  6. Open DVDA and activate it with the serial number, preferably by pasting.

Note that DVDA will be registered to the email address you used on purchasing. If you still have your purchase confirmation email check what it was. You cannot change this. Only Magix staff can do that.
