DVD Architect 1.0 doesn't recognize my burner

I have previously used my DVD Architect 1.0 on another system without problems. Recently bought new computer and installed vegas and dvd architect 1.0-updated via internet to latest version. now I'm ready to burn my mpeg-2 project, and it doesn't seem to recognize my NEC DVD drive. (Doesn't give me the option to proceed to burning.) Not a hardware problem since it works with other programs such as NERO. Help anyone?

DVD burning apps only support burners that were (at that time) available. I'd recommend burning with the DVD burning software that was included.

You're lucky. sometimes it freezes up the comp. :D

I rendered an MPEG-2 file using Vegas. What can I use to burn a single-play movie on DVD? Will the trial version of the new DVDA work?

You can use DVDA 1 to prepare only, then burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders using Nero or similar.

I'd also seriously look at upgrading to DVDA4 - there have been lots of improvements.

GO over to videohelp.com & download/install ImgBurn & [optional but recommended] PgcEdit.

PgcEdit might help with compatibility -- check the thread: "PGCEDIT to minimize compatibility problems?"

Both are free
