Still got this major problem: DVD architect 2 crashes as I attempt to open it. Vegas 5.0b crashes whenever I click on 'CD settings' within the programme. I've narrowed the problem down to communication to the Sony CD CRX230E, Sony DVD DW-U14A drives. Only by uninstalling 'Main controller' within IDE/ATAPI Controller folder (in device manager) can I get Architect to work. Of course I then have no access to CD or DVD, therefore the exercise is rather futile. For you techies out there my comp. specs: AMD athlon 64 2ghz; 1gb ram; Asustek K8V motherboard; 80gb & 200gb Maxtor sata HD's; NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 graphics card (with firewire); Windows XP home OS.
I have uninstalled Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD but still have Win Media player and Intervideo winDVD4 . Do they present any conflict problems? if anyone can help please do so. Thanks in anticipation.
