DVD Architect - also long nonresponsive periods?

First, my apologizes. I know that there is also a forum for DVDA subjects, but I think that this could somehow be related to the long non-responsive periods in Vegas 9.0c...

Has anyone experienced the same? Long nonresponsive periods in DVDA 5.0b? After waiting fo a minute or so, then the timeline appears to work normally. It is likewhen DVDA trying to access the rendered media on the HD it somehow just stalls. The timeline on the main clip looks ok (with all its thumbnails), but playing it back just produces audio - no video! After a while the app hangs for some minutes (not responding) and then returns. And video plays again ok.

I have tried to acces the same HD via windows explorer and it is functioning normally (spining). During the same non-responsiviness, there is no CPU activity to mention, from any process, except the system idle process. No other programs are running.

What is WRONG ??? I am totally frustrated.

Does Vegas and DVDA share some dll's or other common resources? Wyy are both nonresponsive from time to time (very often!). Anyone else?

(I'm on WIN 7 Ultimate 64 bit with 8GBRAM)
