I rendered 3 DVDs recently with DVD architect 4.0....each has about 5 or 6 audio tracks.
The first two required no recompression of the video because they fit on the 4.7 Gb disk as rendered in Movie Studio. however, I notice that when I fast forwarded through the disk, then hit play to play at normal speed, no sound can be heard (usually, and more so toward the beginning of the video)...if I nudge it fast forward for just a brief moment and press play again, the sound usually comes back (the sound will also come back if I access the audio tracks through the DVDs audio selection function while the video is playing, but only if I select another track and then come back to the track I want to hear). The sound is always there if I just play the video from start without fast forwarding.
On the third disk, DVD architect had to recompress the video to fit on the disk. This disk plays back normally with or without fast forwarding....
Anyone have any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? I guess a workaround would be to force a recompression of all video, but that means DVD rendering time goes from about 30 minutes to 3 1/2 hours....
