I follow what you're saying about DVD Lab Pro. Except clarify what the GOP's are? So in other words since I have Vegas Movie Studio, I can use the encoder bundled with this program along with DVD Lab Pro?

I do enjoy digging deeper into what a software product can offer, but I also like "off the top" solutions for a quick put together video, but then have the very complex features to really customize interesting things in my videos.

As it started with this whole post was the fact that I couldn't output to DVD from DVDAS and that has frustated me after buying a new simple authoring program that didn't produce to the end. AND, I really wanted some more complex features like I used to enjoy from Adobe Premiere. Do any of you guys have or have used Premiere?

THis should get you started with GOPs and the MPEG structure: http://www.licensing.philips.com/information/mpeg/documents355.html

Yes, for many years, but since moving to Vegas I have never needed to go back. I was intrigued by your comment about better adjustments for audio in Premiere - what sort of adjustments?
